To
Chief
Executive Officer
G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital,
Nethaji
Road, Pappanaickenpalayam,
Coimbatore-641037
Sir,
Sub: Medical Treatment
of Central Government Employees-reg.
I
would like to discuss about the admissibility of Medical Claim at Central
Government Departments for Medical treatment taken at your hospital.
We
are one of the three employees unions of Department of Post, recognized by the
Government of India. We know you, as one of the best hospitals in Coimbatore. More
officials from our Department were taking treatment at your hospital. Our
employees, even far from Kozhikode, are coming to your hospital.
But
it was informed by our higher authorities that your hospital’s name was removed
from the “The list of private
hospitals recognized under Central Services (Medical Attendance) Rules,
1944”.(i.e. from the list of empanelled hospitals) from July-2016. One of our
colleague, who had his heart operated upon from your hospital, during Aug-2016,
could not get his re-imbursement (Around Rs. 2 Lakhs) due to this problem.
Due to this problem, two officials from our Coimbatore
office alone, moved out to another hospital in the last two months. The
scenario exists in another central Government Departments in Coimbatore, also.
Hence It is kindly requested to clarify
(1)
Whether
your hospital was recognized under Central Services (Medical Attendance) Rules,
1944, so that our employee colleagues could get their re-imbursement.
(2)
If so,
kindly provide the certificates/Gazette Notification etc in this regard to us,
which will enable us to take treatment at your hospital and get re-imbursement
from our Department.
(3)
If not so, kindly take necessary
action to enroll your hospital in the above list, which will be helpful to us.
A word of reply will be appreciated.
Thanking you,
Yours
sincerely,
(V. M.
Sivakumar)
